Karen Derrico is a well-known face in the American television industry. Derrico was born in South Carolina on 26th February 1980 and was brought up there though her present residence is in Las Vegas. After completing her graduation in 1998, she has been a part of many jobs throughout her career.

Deon Derrico said he thought his wife was joking when she started crying with a straight face and no expression. But then she couldn’t speak or move half of her body, so he called 911 and drove his wife to the hospital.

The 41-year-old mom of 14 is now recovering at home after being released from the hospital, according to a family representative who spoke with NBC News. The representative could not provide further details of Karen Derrico’s condition.

Was the stroke scare true?

Deon was certain that his wife had suffered a stroke. He remarked, “When the side goes numb or weak in the same way as paralysis, it’s usually a stroke. So I’m not sure.”

However, Deon’s personal experience drove the stroke alarm, as he had witnessed his brother and grandmother suffer from it.

The official diagnosis is still unknown; neither has the sneak peek. 

Karen’s newest Instagram posts also suggest that she is doing well and does not appear to be showing any signs of weakness in her body.

She visited her in the hospital on August 5 and uploaded a video with GG there to express her gratitude to fans for all of their prayers, while also providing an update on Deon’s mother’s health. On August 3, GG was admitted to the hospital, but no additional information has been revealed.

Karen had a very small brain tumor that did not require surgery. She did have an extensive surgery that did involve removing the tumor and this left her with venous drainage so she was in danger of bleeding out.

“‘My life is my kids,’ says Karen, who is mom to 14 children, whom she homeschools and believes in praising their strengths and weaknesses equally.

“I’m really strict when they’re in school,” she says, “but then when I go in their room at night to see if they’re sleeping, I just think: ‘This is good.’ I can breathe.'”
